Two photos bracket every drink

The gap between them is the part you actually drank.

Snap it full

A reminder arrives, you photograph the glass or bottle you are about to drink.

Drink at your pace

No timer to beat. Come back when the container is empty, or log partial credit.

Snap it empty

The phone compares the two photos on device and adds the amount to your day.

Your photos never leave the phone

No account, no upload, no copy of your day on a server. Comparison happens locally, and uninstalling the app deletes your history with it.

The free version shows a banner ad on one screen, which the ad provider serves. That is the only third party involved, and you can opt out of personalised ads in Settings.

A weekly picture built from your own week

Your chart, your score, your best day. Computed from what you logged, not from an average of strangers.

Free for everyone, with a summary you can send to whoever asked you to drink more water.

No shame mechanics

Every way out of a reminder is a first-class button, not a punishment.

Mute a reminder

Silence the day without losing your history or your streak.

Push it back

Ten more minutes when you are mid sentence, mid meeting, mid anything.

Partial credit

Drank half? Log half. The goal moves with you rather than against you.

Skip the camera

Log without a photo whenever the moment is not right for one.

Reminders that fit the day you actually have

A goal from your weight, height, activity and climate, spread across your waking hours and paused around meals.

Safety ceilings cap the target, because more water is not always better.

Why a couple of glasses matter

Losing 1 to 2% of your body's water can measurably affect mood, energy, and how effortful a task feels, often before you notice you are thirsty (Ganio et al. 2011; Armstrong et al. 2012, British Journal of Nutrition).

Hydrater is not medical advice. If you have a kidney, heart, or liver condition, or take diuretics, ask your doctor about the right fluid target for you.

Questions

Do my photos leave my phone?

No. Photos are compared on the device and never uploaded. There is no account and no server holding your history.

What does the app check in the photos?

That the second photo of your container differs from the first, which is what separates a logged drink from a tap. It does not try to identify what the container is.

What if I forget, or the reminder comes at a bad time?

Mute it, push it back ten minutes, log partial credit, or log without a photo. Nothing is lost and nothing scolds you.

How much does it cost?

Every feature is free, with a banner ad on the check-in screen. One purchase of $5.99 removes the ads forever. There is no subscription.
